Granitic and sandy soils. The soils are lighter, acidic, with a lot of sand and fewer argils.
Temperate with a favourable sunlight, but with high variations due to conflicts between ocean, continental and Mediterranean influences.
In full bunch, the Beaujolais vinification. Vatting lasts 4 to 6 days. Following the first alcoholic fermentation, the grape is pressed. Both juices are blended for the second fermentation: this malo-lactic fermentation makes the wine more supple and remove the excess of acidity.
